Come help the Sons of the American Revolution as they host a celebration of our first President's 294th birthday. The Sons of the American Revolution invite members of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Children of the American Revolution and the general public to come together with them to listen to our speaker and make presentations honoring members of our community.
Come early, at 11:00 am, and enjoy bidding on one, or several, of the Gift Baskets in the Silent Auction and visit with our guests and honorees
During the Program after you have enjoyed a nice lunch, you can take part in fellowship with friends.

National Sons of the American Revolution Registrar General 2024-2025
Compatriot Lyles is a member of the Battle of Kings Mountain Chapter of the North Carolina Society.
Prior to his election as Registrar General, He served two terms as Historian General 2022 to 2024, He was National Color Guard Commander 2022 to 2023, and Vice President General for the International District 2017-2018. He has been a member of the Museum Board since 2019, He was elected to serve on the George Washington Endowment Fund Board from 2019 to 2023, and he is currently a member of the Strategic Planning Committee. He has also served as Chairman of the Education Committee from 2016 to 2023 and of the History Committee from 2020 to 2021. Prior to moving to his current home in South Carolina, he served the Kansas Society from 2013 to 2021 as Vice President, President, Trustee and Alternate Trustee.
Compatriot Lyles’ wife Diane Ungvarsky is the First Vice President of the National Ladies Auxiliary, and his two grandsons are members of the SAR.
The celebration meal always includes the traditional Cherry Pie. See our menu for this year's celebration.

All Color Guard members who register to attend the George Washington Birthday Celebration are welcome to participate in the Celebration. The Color Guard will include SAR, DAR, and CAR Color Guard members in their approved uniform. (Fife and Drums included) Muster at 9:30 a.m. Rehearsal begins promptly at 9:45 a.m.

The Kansas Society was formed on March 31st, 1892 with sixty charter members. The membership, which has included past state governors, reside in many communities across the state. There are 14 chapters across the state of Kansas.
The Missouri Society of the Sons of the American Revolution was incorporated April 23, 1889. Past members include President Harry S Truman. There are 16 local chapters in the state.
The Daughters of the American Revolution is an organization with a deeply rich history while also being truly relevant in today’s world. More than 1,000,000 women have joined the organization since it was founded over 125 years ago. They became members to honor their heritage as well as make a difference in their communities across the country and the world. The Sons of the American Revolution was founded in 1889 and is headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky. SAR is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to promoting patriotism, preserving American history, and promoting education to our future generations. As one of the largest male societies in the country, SAR boasts tens of thousands of active members in over 550 chapters across the United States and internationally. Any male 18 years or older-regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background-who can prove blood lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution, is eligible for membership.
The National Society of the Children of the American Revolution, founded in 1895, is the oldest patriotic youth organization in our country. Membership is open to descendants of patriots of the American Revolution.
Members gain valuable leadership experience in conducting meetings, following parliamentary procedures and standard protocol, serving as delegates and speaking before groups at local, state and national conferences. The responsibility and privilege of selecting officers helps members gain an understanding of the democratic process.
